Painted Stain Glass Ceiling Murals using trompe l'oeil and faux finishes to create illusions on ceilings...domes, vaulted, coffers or flat have become a specialty of Art Effects.

This is a trompe l'oeil effect, creating the illusion of stain glass. Due to the height and subject matter, we chose to paint this Art Effect on canvas and install it to the ceiling. The ceiling was vaulted with four sides. We were able to paint all four sides separately, plus one center medallion piece.



This trompe l'oeil ceiling is painted on canvas. This is the ideal method of painting stain glass since there are so many measurements and lines to paint. All of the murals on this page were painted on canvas. They can be shipped to your home and installed by a professional paperhanger.
